last minute

3:22 am, Arlington.

i leave for the airport in 9 hours...still not finished packing. expected. i'm trying to stay up late though so i can sleep for a few of the 12 hours that will make up my flight tomorrow (thank you, thomas, for the forewarning about jet lag). i thought i'd do a quick recap of the first two weeks of summer, before i go to spain and forget all else:

1. went to brett dennen concert in austin. got high off of second-hand pot smoke. discovered missy higgins...she is awesome. you should download her.

2. finished defensive driving for one of my two spring break tickets. asenseofhumordriving.com was actually quite humorous (thank you, aaron, for the reference). my only complaint, is that, they used, an excessive, and unnecessary, amount of punctuation. but it definitely could have been a lot worse.

3. watched trinity valley football highlight video. go trojans.

4. also at the burketts': went through a box of dave's stuff from like 2nd grade. found a note that dave wrote, and it began: "dear ms. jones, i am sorry i called you a liar." another, similar note, began: "i said 'shit' in class today. i don't even know what that means."

5. went on a walk with two 50-year old women. felt sore the next day.

6. cut 10 inches of my hair off and donated it to locks of love, in an effort to reduce shower time.

and now, here i am! ok, it's about that time. if i go to sleep now i will get 3 full REM cycles. i depart for spain tomorrow and will be taking classes in granada (which is way down south). if y'all are coming through, call me on my nuevo espana telefono: +34 696-960-144. or skype me!
